What is an eGapla ID?
The eGapla ID is the unique, alphanumeric digital identifier in the Goverment of Gapla’s single sign on (SSO) system for Gaplan tourists, residents, citizens, and government officials. Every Gaplan citizen is eligible to receive an eGapla ID by request. Prior to the introduction of the eGapla ID in 2024, citizens and especially government officials had to remember several usernames and passwords for each government website, and resetting passwords or changing usernames was a tedious process.
With an eGapla ID, Gaplan citizens and other eligible holders can sign on to government services and infrastructure, such as this secure portal, the Federal Reserve Bank of Gapla, government intranet, government webmail, the webmaster portal, and many other services, websites, and applications. In addition, when logged onto a website with one eGapla ID, you are able to instantly log into other Gaplan goverment websites, without entering your username and password. This is a more secure and convenient process.
Tourists may be assigned a limited eGapla ID by request, which is a temporary eGapla ID which expires seven days after the expiration of that tourist’s visa. This limited eGapla ID can only be used to access vital services such as the Federal Reserve Bank of Gapla. Non-citizen residents may also receive limited eGapla IDs in a long-term manner.
Each eGapla ID is unique, and is tied to personally identifying information stored in a secure database. In addition, some eGapla IDs may access additional services that other eGapla IDs cannot access, such as the government intranet or government webmail. eGapla IDs or their corresponding passwords may be changed through a request submitted to the Ministry of Technology, which can be done through the buttons below.
